Marquesa Marine Pro Wide

Marquesa Marine carbon fiber casting platforms are designed, tested, and built to meet the highest demands of saltwater anglers and guides. Our high-performance resin system is combined with high strength aerospace grade carbon fiber through an advanced resin infusion process to create a strong and lightweight platform. With a triple UV protection process, our platforms are built to last. Removable legs and five different leg height options allow Marquesa Marine casting platforms to adapt to any angling scenario.

The Marquesa Marine Pro Wide platform is designed to accommodate a fly line stripping bucket on the forward area of the platform. Additionally, the tapered shape of our Pro Wide platform tends to fit well on the bow of skiffs and helps to avoid any deck overhang on platforms mounted far forward. The 25-inch width of the Pro Wide offers more space than our Pro Standard platform.

The Marquesa Marine Pro Wide casting platform top weighs only 6.2 pounds. With 10-inch legs and a SeaDek foam pad, the entire system weighs less than 9.5 pounds.

Casting Platform Legs

Marquesa Marine casting platform legs are fully removable, allowing for easy shipping and storage. Additional leg sets are available with your casting platform purchase, allowing you to adapt to different fishing conditions throughout the year. Each leg has a 316 stainless steel stud that screws into a threaded receiver on the underside of the casting platform. Five different leg heights are available with your casting platform purchase: 7-inch, 8.5-inch, 10-inch, 11.5-inch, and 14-inch. The leg height refers to the length of the leg tubing, however, the height of the platform surface (including the foam pad) above the deck of the boat will be 1 ¼ inch greater than the leg height.

Our standard leg height is 10-inches, which is a good starting point for most fishing situations. The 7-inch legs are well suited to situations when it is necessary to keep a lower profile. The 14-inch legs offer the greatest vantage point for the angler; however, this additional height significantly increases the angler’s profile. For most tarpon fishing applications, we recommend the 8.5-inch legs as they offer plenty of visibility but keep the angler’s center of gravity low for stability in rough conditions.

All Marquesa Marine carbon fiber casting platforms come standard with a SeaDek foam pad of your color choice.

Casting Platform Mounting

Marquesa Marine casting platforms are supplied with one standard eye bolt to attach a turnbuckle on the underside of the platform. A turnbuckle (not included) and an additional eye bolt are required to mount the platform to the deck of your boat. The standard eye bolt can be moved to any of the three mounting points on the platform to ensure the best fit on your boat. Three different sizes of turnbuckles are available on our website to accommodate different leg heights. If you are ordering a turnbuckle along with your casting platform, please reference the chart on the turnbuckle product page to select the correct size based on your platform leg height. To mount the turnbuckle to the deck of your boat, we recommend our threaded deck bolt along with one of our eye bolts. Casting platforms can also be mounted to an existing deck cleat on your boat using a stainless carabiner or hook style turnbuckle (your local marine store should carry these components).
