Casting Platform Legs

Marquesa Marine casting platform legs are fully removable, allowing for easy shipping and storage. Each platform is sold with a set of legs and additional leg sets allow you to adapt to different fishing conditions throughout the year. Each leg has a 316 stainless steel stud that screws into a threaded receiver on the underside of the casting platform. Five different leg heights are available: 7-inch, 8.5-inch, 10-inch, 11.5-inch, and 14-inch. The leg height refers to the length of the leg tubing, however, the height of the platform surface (including the foam pad) above the deck of the boat will be 1 ¼ inch greater than the leg height.

Our standard leg height is 10-inches, which is a good starting point for most fishing situations. The 7-inch legs are well suited to situations when it is necessary to keep a lower profile. The 14-inch legs offer the greatest vantage point for the angler; however, this additional height significantly increases the angler’s profile. For most tarpon fishing applications, we recommend the 8.5-inch legs as they offer plenty of visibility but keep the angler’s center of gravity low for stability in rough conditions.
